The global implementation of ultra-low sulfur fuel is inevitable and it shows that the demand of ultra-low sulfur fuels is increasing. This has created a demand for accurate sulfur analysis at trace level according to method D5453, ISO 20846 from refineries, blenders and commercial labs for routine monitoring of sulfur content. Few challenges have been reported during trace sulfur analysis including interference that overestimate of sulfur content and the stability of equipment to handle extremely low sulfur content. In the presentation the solution to overcome the challenges of ultra-low sulfur analysis will be discussed and shared.
